Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity Tales Place Before Breath of the Wild – Siliconera

Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity will be the latest installment in the story surrounding The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. Announced through a spontaneous YouTube video, The Legend of Zelda series producer Eiji Aonuma announced this prequel to Breath of the Wild. It will launch on the Nintendo Switch on November 20, 2020.

However, this prequel will arrive in a way some fans may not expect. This entry is part of the Hyrule Warriors series, Koei Tecmos Dynasty Warriors style spin on the series and is once again developed by Omega Force. As mentioned above, this entry will take place one hundred years before the events that brought about the return of Calamity Ganon. In this installment, players will have the opportunity to learn more about Princess Zeldas involvement in the events, along with Links four companions. Link, Zelda, Daruk, Mipha, Revali, and Urbosa will all be playable characters, and two-player co-op will be supported.

In the broadcast, Aonuma did mention that fans would need to wait a little bit longer in order to receive details about the upcoming sequel to Breath of the Wild.
